Giovanna Serio

Associate

Giovanna concentrates her practice on subrogation, managing all aspects of case strategy from inception to resolution. She has particular experience in insurance litigation involving personal injury protection (PIP) claims and brings a practical, results-driven approach to her work on behalf of insurers.

Prior to joining Cozen O’Connor, Giovanna worked in insurance defense, managing a high-volume caseload involving bodily injury and PIP claims. During law school, she was part of the legal team assisting with litigation arising from the Surfside condominium collapse, supporting survivors and victims’ families through one of the most complex and high-profile cases in Florida’s recent history.

Giovanna earned her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law, where she served as the articles and comments editor of the University of Miami Inter-American Law Review. During law school, she interned for the Honorable Timothy W. Chell of the Superior Court of New Jersey. She holds a B.A. in philosophy from Boston University.
