Shannon focuses her practice on commercial litigation, leveraging more than 15 years of experience managing high-stakes legal matters and leading cross-functional teams.
Before joining the firm, Shannon served as an executive advisor and senior attorney at the Social Security Administration, where she oversaw legal operations and Executive Order and regulatory compliance initiatives. She advised the Deputy Commissioner, General Counsel, and senior leadership on complex legal and operational matters, developing strategies to enhance departmental efficiency and legal support across the agency.
Shannon has built and maintained strategic relationships across internal law and policy offices, the Department of Justice, law enforcement agencies, and the U.S. court system, strengthening interagency coordination, resolving complex legal issues, and advancing organizational priorities. She has also prepared senior White House advisors on complex, high-level legal matters.
Notably, Shannon led a large team investigating bankruptcy fraud to prevent $4.5 million in overpayments from being discharged, and has collaborated with the U.S. Attorney's Office on both civil and criminal enforcement matters.
As Acting Supervisory Attorney in the Office of the General Counsel, Shannon managed a team of attorneys handling federal district and appellate court litigation, developing strategies that improved case outcomes. She gained additional experience in Social Security law and regulatory compliance, collaborating closely with federal agencies and the U.S. Attorney's Offices to ensure effective advocacy.
Shannon earned her J.D. from the Temple University Beasley School of Law, where she served as the competition director of the Moot Court Honor Society. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, where she majored in communications.
