This unique blend of skills allows him to help clients obtain patent protection for complex computer science technologies and conduct comprehensive source code analysis for portfolio refinement and international strategy. He also offers significant value in mergers and acquisitions by assessing integration risks and costs, helping clients reduce exposure while gaining crucial insights.
Earlier in his career, he worked as both defense and plaintiff's counsel for companies ranging from startups to Fortune 100 corporations in the computer science and medical device sectors. He earned his bachelor's degree in computer science, magna cum laude, from Harvard University and his law degree, magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, from the University of California, College of Law, San Francisco (formerly U.C. Hastings). During law school, he served as editor-in-chief of the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly and was a summer extern for U.S. District Judge Martin Jenkins of the Northern District of California. Before law school, he spent several years in the high-tech industry as a project manager and lead systems engineer.
