Thomas focuses his practice on employment litigation and counseling. He supports clients in a variety of matters before both state and federal courts, including claims involving the Fair Labor Standards Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Illinois Human Rights Act, Title VII, and other key employment statutes. He has also supported class action litigation under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), contributing to legal research and motion practice. Thomas regularly drafts motions, position statements, and discovery materials, and conducts research to inform case strategy. He also plays an active role in fact development, working closely with clients to gather key information and build strong defenses.
In addition to his employment practice, Thomas is deeply committed to pro bono work. He has represented individuals in asylum proceedings and assists clients in obtaining Special Immigrant Juvenile Status.
Thomas received his J.D. from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, where he volunteered as a student attorney at Villanova University Clinic for Asylum, Refugee & Emigrant Services. In 2020, he graduated, cum laude, from the University of Central Arkansas, earning a bachelor's degree in music performance. Prior to law school, Thomas worked in music performance, education, and arts administration in Arkansas.
