Max focuses his practice on insurance coverage matters, advising clients on coverage disputes and related litigation.
Before joining the firm, Max handled bad faith litigation, insurance defense, finance and restructuring, and complex commercial litigation matters. He defended and prosecuted fraud and negligence claims across a range of industries and represented clients in state and federal courts in Texas and other jurisdictions.
Max has represented clients through every stage of civil litigation, from the initial filing of a lawsuit through trial and verdict. He has appeared before state, federal district, and bankruptcy courts, has drafted and argued dispositive and nondispositive motions, taken and defended fact and expert witness depositions, and tried civil cases to favorable jury verdicts.
Max earned his J.D., cum laude, from Baylor University School of Law, where he was a member of the Baylor Law Review. During law school, he interned in the Office of General Counsel at a major North American industrial corporation in Dallas and served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Martin Hoffman of the 68th Judicial District Court of Dallas County, Texas. He received his B.A., cum laude, from Mississippi State University.
Outside of his practice, Max enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and fly fishing.
