Helene focuses her practice on sophisticated estate and tax planning for high net worth individuals and multi-generational families. Her practice includes advising family-owned businesses on all aspects of succession planning, including the development of tax strategies for liquidity events. Helene also works closely with family office clients to create tax-efficient structures and she provides strategic advice on the multitude of issues facing family offices on a day-to-day basis, including regulatory compliance and income tax planning. Additionally, Helene has extensive experience in the areas of charitable giving and tax-exempt organizations and she provides compliance-related advice to numerous family foundations.

Helene is a frequent lecturer on various topics, including issues related to family-owned businesses and charitable planning. She is a member of the Barnes Foundation Corporate Leadership Board. She is also a member of the Forum of Executive Women, an organization composed of female executives working to increase the number of women in leadership roles. Active in her community, Helene provides pro bono legal services to various nonprofit organizations. She is a former member of the board of Perelman Jewish Day School and the Major Donor Task Force of the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance. In recognition for driving the creation and launch of HomeBase – The Family Office at Cozen O’Connor, Helene was recognized as a 2020 Woman of Distinction by the Philadelphia Business Journal. Helene was also recognized as a Law Firm Innovator by The Legal Intelligencer.  

Helene earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland and her law degree, with honors, from the George Washington University National Law Center.
