Tiffany Bustamante, a member of the Global Insurance Department and co-chair of the Bad Faith group, has been accepted as a Fellow of The Florida Bar’s Wm. Reece Smith, Jr. Leadership Academy. This prestigious program is designed to help selected attorneys develop their leadership skills through a multi-session training curriculum. Each year, a select group of participants is chosen from applicants to join the Academy as Fellows. Tiffany will be part of the Class of XIII for 2025–2026. During Tiffany’s one-year term, she will follow a curriculum focused on professional development, expanding knowledge, and gaining experience. This includes attending Florida Bar events and special educational programs. Fellows have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the Bar’s operations and their role in the legal profession while strengthening their personal leadership abilities.
Tiffany concentrates her practice on complex civil litigation, with extensive experience in matters pertaining to property, casualty, commercial general liability, and bad faith litigation. She has participated in all phases of the defense of these matters, from initial discovery through dispositive motions, expert discovery, settlement negotiations, and trial practice, in both federal and state courts. She has litigated numerous coverage issues on behalf of commercial carriers, including declaratory relief, breach of contract, bad faith, punitive damages, fraud, prima facie tort, tortious interference, and deceptive trade practices claims. Tiffany currently serves as the co-vice chair of Cozen O’Connor’s Bad Faith group. She also serves on the Global Insurance Department’s Tech Innovation Committee, spearheading efforts to incorporate and leverage cutting-edge artificial intelligence tools to deliver faster, more accurate, and cost-effective legal services to insurer clients.
