NEW YORK, November 3, 2025 — Jerry Goldfeder, a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Department, has been appointed as Chair of the American Bar Association Standing Committee on Election Law. He will serve a three-year term. The Standing Committee on Election Law is a bipartisan committee dedicated to improving the administration of elections by compiling best practices, organizing timely programming, proposing ABA policies, and disseminating the results of the committee’s work to election officials nationwide. As Chair, Jerry will focus on preserving the rule of law while continuing the committee’s work on democratizing federal, state, and local elections throughout the country.

Jerry boasts a 40-year career concentrating on election law and voting rights. His extensive practice involves representing various high-profile candidates and elected officials, including mayors, governors, and several candidates for president of the United States. He has also provided legal counsel to members of the U.S. Congress, the New York State Legislature, New York's City Council, judiciary members, unions, not-for-profits, and various groups on local, state, and federal campaign finance law, lobbying compliance, and governmental procedures.
