PHILADELPHIA, December 1, 2025 — Cozen O’Connor is pleased to announce the promotion of six members to shareholder: Benjamin Bomrind, Patrick Carey, Sarah Krissoff, Jeffrey Monhait, Michael O’Donnell, and Tamar Wise. The election of these six new shareholders was voted on during the firm’s recent All Attorney Summit in Orlando, Florida.

“These attorneys, whether they worked at Cozen O’Connor their entire careers or joined us as laterals, have demonstrated remarkable professionalism, leadership, and dedication to their colleagues and clients,” said Michael J. Heller, president and chief executive officer of Cozen O’Connor. “We could not be more proud of what they have accomplished so far and look forward to watching them continue to develop and prosper.”

Benjamin Bomrind focuses his practice on corporate law, with an emphasis on finance. In the course of his practice, he has represented private investment funds, investment management groups, and other investors in connection with their investments in asset-based and structured finance transactions for a wide range of assets. He has also represented international and domestic banks, financial institutions, and market service providers in a variety of transactions, including senior and subordinated loan financing, structured financing, and secured and unsecured loan financing.

Patrick Carey, managing director of the firm’s government relations group Cozen O’Connor Public Strategies, helps clients advance their high-stakes legislative and policy goals before federal, state, and municipal decision-makers. He assists a diverse portfolio of businesses with executive branch advocacy, legislative relationship building and lobbying, and procurement at the local government level. Some of his recent victories include helping a national rideshare company secure a contract to become the City of Chicago’s exclusive operator of the bikeshare system and assisting a hospitality company in developing and revising the City of Chicago’s house-sharing regulations.

Sarah Krissoff is a highly sought after white collar defense attorney and seasoned former federal prosecutor. She has an impressive track record of vigorously representing companies and individuals in government and internal investigations, criminal cases, and complex civil litigation in federal and state courts. Sarah served as an assistant U.S. attorney in the Southern District of New York from 2008 to 2021 and led numerous high-profile government investigations that required coordination of law enforcement agencies across multiple jurisdictions. Sarah is an experienced courtroom advocate who has led a dozen criminal and civil jury trials and has briefed and/or argued many cases before the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.

Jeff Monhait is an experienced litigator who helps companies of all sizes navigate business and commercial issues by bringing a practical, problem-solving mindset to every matter. Jeff balances aggressive, zealous advocacy with a focus on efficiently achieving client goals in order to avert and resolve: complex business disputes and class actions; consumer disputes; intellectual property litigation; and issues pertaining to contract drafting, negotiation, and interpretation. As a civil litigator, Jeff regularly works with clients in the technology sector, and has significant experience navigating the pre-trial process, especially with issues pertaining to federal court subject matter jurisdiction, evidentiary issues, and third-party subpoena practice.

Michael O’Donnell concentrates his practice on subrogation and recovery for insurance carriers and commercial clients. He handles complex state and federal matters throughout the eastern U.S. His practice focuses on a wide variety of property damage claims, including fires, floods, product defects, and construction issues, handling all aspects of litigation.

Tamar Wise is a dedicated and creative commercial litigator who represents clients in a wide range of complex commercial litigation matters, including securities, contract, First Amendment, agency claims relating to false advertising and consumer product litigation, and real estate cases in jurisdictions nationwide.
