Gina Maisto Smith and Leslie Gomez will present “Navigating Peer-to-Peer Conduct: Case Studies in Abuse” at the Higher Education Protection Network 2025 Annual Conference. Gina and Leslie will explore how campus practitioners can better understand and identify the continuum of behaviors that may lead to abuse and require timely institutional action.  They will discuss familiarity with Adverse Childhood Experiences, developmental milestones and abilities, and appropriate professional and physical boundaries when interacting with minors. They will also cover how these foundational elements inform the development of policies, procedures, and protocols for supervision, monitoring, training, reporting, and responding to conduct concerns.
